Umm, I have a weird problem going on. Just a few weeks ago, I bought a TV X96 mini Android phone and installed YouTube app on it. It worked fine until the app wanted to do an update. Once I started the update, it stopped abruptly and gave me this error note “this app is not compatible with your device.” I have no idea what is going on!
I presume that it’s a Android TV Box? Might use the browser version first until future updates.

Youtube continuously release updates for its Apps, the version you have just installed is not compatible with your device. So, in that case you have to remove the recent update. Go to setting\Apps\Youtube click the 3 dots in the top right corner and select Uninstall updates. After youtube will work as it was before.
