0x80780166 and 0x80070002 backup errors

I tried to create image backup files to no avail so far. I got these two errors that prevent the backup from happening: 0x80780166 and 0x80070002. I deleted old backup folders and introduced new ones to ensure I start clean. I also have 824 GB of 931 GB free. Still, the problem persists. What is the issue here, what should I do to make it work?

Please try and follow these steps:

  1. Run services.msc
  2. Set Windows Backup and Volume Shadow Copy to Automatic
  3. Reboot your PC
  4. Create a system image [from Control Panel\System and Security\Backup and Restore (Windows 7)]
