I have a laptop with Win 10 installed. Right now, for several days, the Avira icon is missing from the desktop. I was not using the laptop for a few days and during that time, it “magically” disappeared. I searched out files and all are present. Even Task Manager shows the activity but icon is missing every time I shut down the system and reboot it later.

1.Go to Search bar and type Avira
2.Right click on the Avira app and select Open file location
3.Now you can right click the icon and choose send to Desktop.
you can do what @AndrewF said and it will fix your problem, also you can uninstall avira from control panel and install it again. the icon will appear on your display
Just create a new icon on your desktop by locating the app file under programs.
