Cached/No registry change Problems

So, I have a problem with getting one of my clients into public folders I created. The following error occurs every single time the user tries to get in: “ Your Server Administrator has limited the number of items you can open simultaneously. Try closing messages you have opened or removing attachments and images from unsent messages you are composing .” So, I turned Cache Exchange mode and set up Download Shared Folders settings as well. However, I cannot make a registry change and other options did not suffice:

  • Cached/No registry change: getting the error

  • Cached/ registry change: unusable, user would not get past splash screen

  • Uncached/registry change: error on server administrator

  • Uncached,/no registry change: error on server administrator

What are my options right now?

I would suggest to wipe your Outlook profiles and data files and start fresh. That should set you do it

In the future, I would recommend using a service account for these permissions and accessing the data you need from OWA. Or, depending on the end goal, use the Discovery Search function that’s built into Ms. Exchange.
