I’m using Win10, and I cannot find the USB safe-to-remove hardware notification when I’m done with my external hard drive. It seems to work fine, but I’m afraid if I’m doing it wrong, so does anybody know why is this happening on my pc? Thanks.
Hello @SamuelJZ
you can easily follow the steps explained in the link.
HI,
You can try this For the ’ Safe to remove ’ pop-up issue and for notifications not showing,
within Windows 10, Build 1809’s Action Center.
It goes like this:
Step 1. Go to > Settings > Privacy
Step 2. App Permissions > Background Apps .
Toggle ‘ Let apps run in the background ’ switch to off .
Restart computer. (action center not showing previously or new notifications)
Step 3. Go back to the settings page, previously mentioned in step 1 and 2.
Toggle the ‘ Let apps run in the background ’ switch to on ,
as described in Step 2.
Restart once again.
Action Center is now showing notifications.
As well as the " Safe to remove " pop-up for flash drives without issues.
- Press and hold the task bar and select setting
- Scroll to Windows Explorer
- Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media and turn it ON.
Note; if this does not work then sure your device has stopped all activities like copy, paste or syncing
