Dual boot issue - Win 10 and Linux Mint 17.2

Hi, dual boot issue here! I am using Windows 10 and Linux Mint 17.2 and having issues on unresponsive mouse and keyboard upon login. They are frozen for a minute and then starts to be responsive. I tried to find online help but did not get any useful tips. Can you guys help me out? This is how error reads when I boot from Windows and go to Linux:

usb 3-10: device descriptor read/64, error -71

usb 3-10: device descriptor read/64, error -71

usb 3-10: device descriptor read/64, error -71

usb 3-10: device not accepting address 6, error -71

usb 3-10: device not accepting address 7, error -71

I think restore in recovery mode, and selected the root prompt option might solve the errors, once at the prompt, ran the following command:

Code:

fsck /dev/sdb3

if /dev/sda6 is the partition you are having problems with, make sure the drive is connected and start in recovery mode, select the root prompt option and run the following command:

Code:

fsck /dev/sda6

restarted in recovery mode, and selected the root prompt option, once at the prompt run the following command:

  1. fsck /dev/sdb3
(Change your partition that you have the problem)
Eg: fsck /dev/sdb1 or fsck /dev/sdb4
