I downloaded Malwarebytes free and when I try to scan, it runs for a few minutes until an error pops up saying I need to restart. Reinstalled it multiple times, the error always shows up. Also tried to download the fix tool but it also freezes up during installation. I was finally able to install it, but after it scanned for two hours, it froze. Please advise as to what might be causing these issues?
Hi, a conflict between Malwarebytes and Symantec Endpoint Protection was discovered recently. To fix the issue you have to add exclusions and reboot your computer a few times for both programs to start working correctly.
The AV Exclusions that need to be added to SEP are below
