Folders missing in Cloud environment

Hello experts! I created an exchange hybrid environment for all of my users on the cloud. One of them said his folder is missing and that I should check backend for it. The trouble is – I have no idea how to do so (backend)? Another user said that he cannot rename a shared folder since the owner user is on vacation. Can backend also help me here? I am a global admin!

Before answering your question may I know what type of file-sharing you are using in your environment? is this any cloud sharing like OneDrive, SharePoint or Windows Native file-sharing or DFS file-sharing?
