Hello, Good Afternoon to all
I had a Client, He said their machine did a windows update and afterward the login screen is gone. After checking the machine, He confirmed when you do a “CTRL ALT DEL” on the login screen, their no user listed at all, just the wallpaper and the power options on the bottom right.
He tried everything, like System restore, etc. revert update (couldn’t revert, said it was past the 10 days), uninstall quality update didn’t do anything and bypassing the Windows 10 login screen still causes it to get stuck.
Safe mode was the only thing working.
Disabling the blurred background didn’t do anything.
Anyone else encounters this?
He did contact Microsoft support for windows 10 who said it a “bug” which they are working on but their no “ETA” on the fix, might be today, Thursday (this happened Monday, he was there Wednesday), in a few days or knowing Microsoft a few months.
The only option he had reinstalled the PC as reset the PC to keep programs/files failed as well.
He is thinking the windows 10 update didn’t install correctly or something conflicting it since it worked in safe mode but spending a few hours, it wasn’t worth it after that to try fixing a broken window.
