Playstation 1 controller button issues when conn. to PC

Hi all, gaming problem here! I cannot get a Playstation 1 controller to connect with PC directly but through USB adapter. Now, PC does not recognise several buttons (and analog sticks as well), listing only 13 ones that work out properly. Three that do not work are “Cross”, “Square” and “Circle” buttons. It’s on Linux Mint 19.1 MATE. What should I do, change USB or something else might be the issue?

try to update driver, it may fix your problem

Have you tried with another joystick? I assume that was caused by partly malfunction of joystick.

try these commands.

apt-get install xboxdrv
sudo apt-get install joystick
sudo apt-get install jstest-gtk
