I need expert advice on mailboxes. When I delete an account, the mailbox and OneDrive data of that person would be categorised as “Deleted Mailbox.” They can be restored if I do so within the next 30 days or so I am told. I accidentally deleted one of the accounts that I wish to bring back. How to do so and what would be necessary steps?

You were told correct, When a user object is deleted, it’s not immediately and completely removed from Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). The user object is put in a deleted state and no longer appears in the user list. However, it can be recovered for an organization within 30 days.
