Search in mailbox does not work

Hi. I have a weird problem with mailbox search. Namely, when I use “Search in mailbox” I get " Something went wrong and your search couldn’t be completed . It looks like there’s a problem with your network connection ." My online account works fine and the connection is pretty decent. What might be the issue here?

  1. Click the START button and type SERVICES.MSC to start the Services management console and see if the WINDOWS SEARCH service is not running. Start the service and check if it resolves the issue, if not, proceed to step 2.
  2. Go to indexing options and rebuild the index.
  3. If rebuilding the index doesn’t resolve the problem, move the indexing file to a new location.

Follow the tech suggestion given above. further to this Is your Outlook in cached mode ? or are you in online mode? Follow the below image and make sure your outlook NOT in cached mode.
