Settings won’t come up with MB v4.0.4

I recently updated to MB v4.0.4 and I’m using Win10. The problem is when I click on the gear icon-settings while MB is running in the tray, it does nothing, and settings won’t come up. Also, I get the same problem with the settings when visiting the MB website, it won’t show at all. How can I fix this, is MB compromised somehow by a trojan?!
