Hello, I’m building a site in WordPress and I’m having a problem with a domain. Should I purchase a domain from a provider and get .com or .org? Or is there another way to do it, instead of hiring them to have that domain?

You will have to contact to specific service providers they will register your Domain name to DNS server.
.com is for commercial purpose site (for business)
.org is for organization

Purchase the domain in godaddy, use .com for more distribution, also the rights are all yours and you have total control of it. Is better if you purchase it because you will have your website secure
Hi , if you want to use a free domain , you can use freenom.com to get free .tk domain…
but if you want a professional domain for your brand you can buy domain and they will give you nameservers which you have to enter to your hosting account…
