There were some problems installing update, Error code:0x80240fff

Hi All,

I have a brand new Laptop and found that Windows Update is not working. All I get is the following error:

“There were some problems installing updates, but we’ll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80240fff)”

I have searched around and as yet have been unable to find a solution that works for this

So far I have tried

  • Windows Update Troubleshooter

  • Resetting Windows

  • Running in safemode

  • Disabling Anti-Virus and Firewall

You can download update manually and install it

download it from Microsoft official site
