What type of Office application am I using?

I purchased a new HP laptop with Office Professional 2019 (not Office 365). This is first time using Windows 10 So I am new to Windows 10.

How do I know my laptop has Office Professional desktop version or Office 365? Or if both are installed? I only want Office Professional desktop version.

In the Start menu, I see ‘Office’ (brown colour). I also see the individual programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc. in the Start menu. I think it also similar for both type of office.

I’m confused because when I open Excel or Word, the application says Excel with the words ‘365’ under the word ‘Excel’.

Thanks for any info.

@Hameed as @VIkasmadan has mentioned the linked article Which I also have shared below. If you see Office 365 in your Product type you are using Office 365 subscriptions. If you see Office Professional Plus the you are using Office Professional Plus application in your Laptop.

  1. Open any Office application, such as Word or Excel, and select Account .

Note: If you don’t see Account or you already have a file or document open, choose File from the menu, and then select either Account or Help from the list on the left.

  1. Under Product Information , you’ll find your Office product name and, in some cases, the full version number.

1 - Product name , such as Office 365 ProPlus or Office Home and Student.

2 - Version number , which includes version, build number, and the type of installation such as Click-to-run or Windows Store.

  1. For more information, such as the bit-version, choose About Excel . A dialog box opens, showing the full version number and bit version (32-bit or 64-bit).
