Why teams keep installing?

Hi, I have a weird problem whenever I login with any new I’d Microsoft Teams keep getting install without my permission.

How can I stop this?

Hi @AbdulR,

First you have to uninstall Teams from all the system manually check this article forUninstall Microsoft Teams and if you are in work environment you can control auto-installation of team using GPO please refer this article Use Group Policy to control the installation of Microsoft Teams.

If you are not in work environment check this PowerShell script which need can be leveraged for the cleanup of Microsoft Teams from target machines or users. It should be executed for every user on a targeted machine. PowerShell Script Sample - Microsoft Teams deployment clean up.

Maybe try to clear cache in Teams.

  • Exit Microsoft Teams client Completely in task manager.

  • Go to File Explorer, and paste “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams” in the location box.

  • Do the following operations:

 · Go to Application Cache > Cache and delete all files there.

 · Open Cache folder, delete all files.

 · Open database folder, delete all files.

 · Open GPUCache folder, delete all files.

 · Open IndexedDB folder, delete all files.

 · Open Local Storage folder, delete all files.

 · Open tmp folder, delete all files.

1.open Task Manager .

  • Navigate to the Startup tab and look for Office Teams app.
  • Right-click and select Disable to fix the issue.

2.reinstall the entire Office 365 Suite.

After creating the GPO as per referred in the given link. I was able to avoid Teams Auto Installing issue for all the users.
