Windows 10 (1809) GPO - configure engaged restart for updates

Hello Everyone,

GPO Computer Configuration/Windows Components/Windows Update/

Setting: Specify Engaged Restart transition and notification schedule

Has anyone been successful in using the above policy with Windows 10 (1809)

If so, would you be willing to share your GPO settings?

What we want to be configured in our Environment:

-No automated Win10 Updates without us manually approving it for the clients on WSUS

-No automated reboot of the clients after installing Updates

-Use engaged restart with notifications to the user and a forced reboot after 7 days

-User can decide to reboot immediately or schedule within 7 days

The Settings we’ve made in our WSUS Client GPO

Activated: Turn off auto-restart active hours 6 AM-6 PM

Activated: Configure Automatic Update - 4. Auto Download and schedule the install 3:00 am every day

Activated: Specify intranet update service to local WSUS Server - Both paths pointing to our WSUS Server

Activated: Updates detection frequency - Every 1h

Activated: Install updates for other Microsoft Products

Activated: Configure auto-restart reminder notifications – 15 minutes

Activated: Configure auto-restart required notification – “2 - Requires user Action”

Activated: Configure auto-restart warning notifications – reminder 2 hrs warning 15 minutes

Activated: do not include drivers

Activated: Specify Engaged restart – auto-restart to engaged restart 3 days

Activated: Specify Engaged restart – snooze for engaged restart 1 day

Activated: Specify Engaged restart – deadline pending restart executed outside of active hours 7

Can someone suggest me to the right path which can allow me to work?

Thanks a lot
