Windows 10 KB4515384 updates makes slow to log in

Hi everyone,

I have been struggling with every windows 10 update since the end of September. Whenever KB4515384 is installed on restart windows is painfully slow to log in to desktop (like 15 minutes to reach desktop), some services failed to load, most of the desktop not working and WiFi and Ethernet is broken.

I thought it may have to do with something I reconfigured so I made a clean windows 10 installation just to end up with the same result after KB4517389: sometimes windows stays forever on loading screen, sometimes it logins after 15 min and desktop is unusable while everything loads painfully slow if at all and no network with WiFi and Ethernet drivers fails with error code 10. Reverting the update fixes all issues.

I haven’t seen Microsoft acknowledging those issues and after all steps, I have taken I am sure it has nothing to do with anything on my side, anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hello @alexander

Download windows update troubleshooter software.

Hello

It is security update and it has high CPU usage. it is the same as KB4512941 update.
you can use this link, how tofix high CPU usage.

do this while new update comes. in the next update this issue will be fix

Go here and make sure you’ve installed the latest drivers that MSI has released. LiveUpdate is a crap tool, so do a manual check rather than relying on it (source: myself - and I’ve owned and currently own and run an MSI motherboard).

I think this is an issue with your motherboard manufacturer and some incompatibility or bad practice they are doing in an attempt to give themselves an edge and not a Microsoft issue at all.
