Our office has 50 computers where only 5 users get this error when trying to login to Windows 10 machines: “We can’t sign in to your account…”
- We do not use roaming profiles
- The issue is not specific to the PC. The issue follows the user from the computer to the computer.
- Tried deleting profile on computers for affected users, and there is no profile to delete.
- Tried deleting registry entry for user and this did not fix: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
Edit: Okay, the registry key we have mentioned wasn’t successfully deleted as the user did not have permission to do so. I will see about testing actually deleting the registry key for the affected users at Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
