Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016 Appliation crash automatically after open

Dear all,

I am working on a issue one of our users, where when he open up any office program, it will close within 5 seconds and generate the below error :

Background:

  1. This PC is running on Windows 10 Pro version 1809.
  2. I tried running a repair from Add/Remove Programs
  3. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the application
  4. Run Sfc/ scannow
  5. Wiped away the user’s profile and rebuilt it
  6. The only thing I have not done is reinstalled the OS which I don’t want to do.

Hope someone help me solve this issue

Hi @logan5,

Please uninstall the Microsoft Office 2016 software from your device and refresh your Windows 10 using the Windows 10 image. If you are not sure what is refresh download the Windows 10 iso file from the internet. Double clicking the iSO file will mount the image in Windows 10 as you can see in the below picture. Now open the setup file and follow the on screen instruction. That’s it

Once the Windows 10 Refresh is completed try again to install the Microsoft Office 2016 software I hope you will not have the same issue again.
